GROUND Away
With the season drawing to a close and with about 9 games
still to play, the First's today had a double header.
Todays game saw Mark Niblett play his 100th League and Cup
game for The Argonauts. With the absence of regular players Neil, Jason &
Manager Rob, we saw First Team starts for Adam Clifford & Ben Tuck, each having a long
run out.
With the
date being 04-04-04, you might have thought the game's might have been a 0-4 loss or a 4-4
draw, but both games ended up a
s a 1-0 loss. I think 4 had something to do in the games
outcome, as both games were lost in the last few minutes, who know's even with 4 minut
es to go. We didn't
deserve to lose either game, Dave Willett tackling in the box to give Golden Bottle a pen
in the first game, and a George Mullholland defensive error late in the second game.
We also had four sub's. It was a tough game, in the 2nd game we probably had are
best chances, with a long range shot from Kev going just wide, and a header (see pic) from
George from the 6yrd box.
Dave Willett won both MOM, with Andrew Procter in the 2nd
game coming close to getting it with a good first midfield performance for us.
