What a game. This was just
the thing we needed to end the year with and hopefully build from this convincing win over
a higher division team. The first 10 minutes we had attack after attack, but just
couldn’t get the ball in the net. - Aaron Clifford got us underway scoring his first goal of the season, he had such a good

- Kevin Downes who was playing his 50th game for the club for the 2nd
time (! (Had to have a game taken off his stat’s as a team had pulled out of the
league)) scored two goal’s to double his tally for this season, his other 2
goal’s came in the first cup game 3 months ago. (sorry
to mention that Kev!)

Cooke was unluckily not to get his 72nd league and cup goal for the club, we
took a nice (planed) free kick, which Andy scored from, but the Ref said we had about 3
players off side. Andy was a bit upset, as they we’re not interfering with play.-
- It wasn’t as easy as I might have mentioned, Troopers did actually hit our cross
bar twice

- Man of the match was a tough choice, with every player playing well. The votes were
spread out among lots of different players. Dave Willett won it, well he did assist all of
our three goals.
