Today we were due to play Enterprise Securitys in the league, but we had to play them in the Gilbert Pullin & Jelf Cup game from the 19th Dec. The League game is to be played at another date.
First
half it was all us, with Daren Holmes scoring his first goal after 11 min's,
sure Enterprise had a few attacks, but as you can see from the lineup we had the
Davis brothers at the back - they were just stopping everything, and in one
photo you can see Rob putting in a really good tackle in our 18yrd box.
Daren got another goal before half time.
Matt Scott came on at half time to replace Dave Willett who picked up a knock in the first half.
We completely bossed the first half, but we fell apart in the second. With the score line at 2-1 to us with about 30min's to go, Ian Jay made his first team debut. As I have said we fell apart in the 2nd half, with about 5 minutes to go, we found ourselves 4-2 down, Daren then got his 3rd goal (his 2nd hat-rik for the club). In the dying moments of the game Daren went on a run and was brought down, our players said he was inside the box, but the Ref only gave a free kick, which we didn't managed to do anything with. Man Of The Match was Tom Sparks, who played left back
