Dave Willett joined the 100 club with today's game. He's the first player not to play the 1st season to play 100 games, and the first player to win on their 100th. Dave, like the whole of the team played well.
Daren Holmes opened the scoring with a shot he belted into the back of the net just inside the 18yrd box. Like all of our goals today - none were tap-in's, they were all quality - that's how to describe Ryan's goal, he picked the ball up on the right wing, ran towards the corner of the box and spanked it home. Andrew Procter scored a header from a Aaron Clifford corner. Alan Froom who had a good game in goal, unfortunately couldn't managed to keep a clean sheet. Breakaways scored a header in the end of the first half.
It was a good half to watch, 3-1 up and fully in control. We continued to play well with most players having a shot or two at goal. Daren managed to have a penalty saved. Ryan hit a first time cross on the half volly to George who was on the pen spot, with players around him George managed to head the ball into the far corner. His first goal of the season.
