Paul White Plays 100th Argonauts Game And 

Puts In A Man Of The Match Performance.

 

With defenders missing because of the late kick off, Paul playing his 100th had to go center back.

 

 

We started well and on 10mins were awarded a pen, Mike scored from the spot, only for Real's linesman to say players were encroaching, the Ref made us retake the pen, Mike passed on taking it again and gave the ball to Craig - the keeper got his hand to the ball, but it managed to still go in.  

Curly then had a close range overhead kick saved, but a few minutes later Curly picked up the ball in our half and headed towards goal, and beat the keeper one on one.

Fowler who had said he was suffering with food poisoning only lasted the opening 15 or so minutes and was replaced by Alex.

 

2nd half Real pushed on and we were defending more and more, Real also were awarded a pen - which Luke saved.  

 

Claridge was forced off through injury and with no sub defenders, we jiggled things around, Ollie went up front, Curly dropped into midfield and Mike went center back and Steve went left back.

 

Real scored their 2nd goal in the 38th minute of the 2nd half, with the game so tight I didn't want to upset the balance of the team, as even thought we were defending, we also had attacks on the break, so I left myself out of the match.

 

The game ended up 2-2, we were holding on near the end, but managed to get our first draw of the season.

Only one more game to go, A1 Sports away, It's been a long drawn out season, but most enjoyable - well for me anyway.
