Goals At Last

A Mid March morning, a quite hungover manager, a missing forward - who'd have thought this would be the missing links to our '07 run of games.

It was in the 16th Min our goal drought ended, Paul White brining the ball down from a cross and slotting home.

Oh the Joy, I almost cried, but that could have been the mix of larger, red wine, more larger, vodka, no food, not much sleep!

Half time we found ourselves only 1 nil up, Alex had our other best chance of scoring, he and Paul sprang the off side trap - which they did time and time again.  Alex shot, the ball came back off the keeper, Alex went to put the ball in the back of the net, but miss kicked and went high and wide. Mark and Steve (who've both asked to be given a chance up front!) had shots also in the first half.

We score again early through Mike from the edge of the box, his shot beats the keeper and defender on the goal line.

Paul broke through Palace's high defense and from out side the box and being closed down by a defender, Paul beats the keeper and scored his 2nd.

Mark Purnell had his first ever Argonauts Goal taken off him, the lineo flagged for off side.

Paul got his hat trick,  close range in off the post, Bristol Palace got 2 late goals.

I was just happy we'd scored,

but to win - what a bonus

SBJ Rovers at home next game,
