Good Game, 

Familiar Result

Finally, a game in 2008! - but with two players letting us down on match day, we were just the bear 11, with Mike/Luke's brother running the line and ready to help out if needed.

In the game we didn't do too badly, it was just a rash desition from Luke to come out of the area to close downend's forward, who just lifted the ball over Luke, their 2nd goal was from a Pen, which Craig and Fowler said the player dived, but we had a real ref, so a pen was given. 

So half time 2-0 down, but we weren't out of the game.  We started the second half brightly with shot's from Claridge and Fowler early on, we had a string of corners in a row, with Matt heading goalward.

J removed himself from the pitch soon after picking up a Yellow Card.

Downend got their 3rd goal at the end of the game, a good goal from a cleared corner, to be fair Luke had no chance with that.

All in all, a good run out for the squad who, if like me haven't even thought about keeping fit over the xmas/new year/vast drinking session football off period.

I know it was three goals, I'm just happy it wasn't the 6&7 goals we have been conceding in games lately.

Hopefully next game we'll have a forward to help partner Curly upfront.
