- A Point To Abandon
-
With outgoing assistant suggesting we had a strong team for today’s game, he
didn’t even realise Rob wasn’t on the team sheet!
-
-
This game will be probably be remember for the paramedics having to be called
to the pitch to attend to a Lazz player having a fit on the half way line, and
not the fact we got our first point of the season – but if the truth be
told, we should have won this game long before the blue flashing lights and
sirens arrived at Muller Rd.
-
-
As you can see from the pic’s, we had lots of attacking play, but with
Lazz’s lineman flag happy, we for some reason listened to him, and not the
referees whistle.
-
-
A
goal from open play seamed a long time ago (12
Oct-08), so Veasey diving header from Fowlers free kick was a nice
surprise, then Man Of The Match Daz popped up far post with a tap in – all
this in the first half
-
-
Half time 2-1.
-
-
2nd half went a bit sourer, Daz got elbowed in the side of the
head, ref gave nothing. Matt Scott then was on the floor and stamped on,
RED cards show to heavy footed lazz player and matt.
-
-
Before
matt was sent off, he had a great chance to put us
ahead, Duncan
managed to get around a few players and put a cross in, only for matt to,
well we all say he ducked, but he’s claiming the ball wasn’t for him.
-
- There are also a few near
chances for Daz. Also at one point we had lot’s of players in the
box, but veasey couldn’t find any of them with a pass, Craig too had a
long range volley.
