Saturday

Game1 picGame1 PicGame1: North Walsham Town
Neither team played that well*. Games were only 16 min’s each way so they were played at a quick tempo, in this heat that was tough. They scored half way through the first half, they miss kicked the ball, Neil (goalie for the tour) went one way the ball the other. 2nd half was much of the same but with no goals
Game ended up 0-1

Game2 picGame2 picGame2 picGame2: Dynamo Ledbury
After 5 minutes of them taking shot’s from everywhere, we took control. With great build up play, Andy got his first goal. 2nd half we scored again. Kevin scored a looping header from the edge of the box. Dying moments of the game Paul White dragged his shot just wide
Game ended up 2-0

Game3 picGame3 picGame3: North Walsham Warriors
After winning last game we were on a high, we changed things around with Stu starting his first game. Unfortunately they scored, we had a few chances. 2nd half they scored in the last few minutes
Game ended up 0-2

Game4 picGame4 picGame4 picGame4: CD Dyers ‘B’
End of the first half we were 1 goal down. Players were getting on each other’s backs. No one was really playing. 2nd half we were completely different team? Kevin opened the scoring, after it was Andy’s turn. He go the ball from a throw from Dave Willett, Andy turned their defender and shot past the keeper. Dave Willett got our 3rd. Derrick brought one of their players down and the ref gave them a pen, which Neil saved. His 3rd pen save in 6 pen’s on tour (saved 2 from 5 in last tour2001).
Game ended up 3-1

Game5 picGame5 picGame5 picGame5: AFC Haylings
Last game on Saturday. We lost 1 nil.
Game ended up 0-1

Sunday
Game6: CD Dyers ‘A’
This was an important game for us, as CD Dyers are on our coach and we’d made a side bet of whoever lost would buy the winning team a beer. We came up with an unusual centre kick. Everyone lined up on the right hand side of the pitch, apart from the people taking centre, our goalie, 1or2 defenders and a lone player on the left. The idea was to all charge towards them, the ball would be played out wide to the left and we would then basically have the whole team in their 18yrd box – this sensationally backfired! Their defender got to the ball first. Their forward shot, Dave Willett closed the guy down, but only got enough on it to make the ball lob Neil, we were 1 nil down after about 20 seconds.
We didn’t score until the 2nd half, goals from Andy and Kevin.
Game ended up 2-1

Game7 picGame7 picGame7 picGame7 picGame7: Avon Packet SportsGame7 pic
Avon Packet are from Bristol and play in our league in the Premier Division. We all wanted to do well against this team – and we did.
We defended brilliantly, the only real chance of scoring was in the dying moments of the game. Matt Scott headed the ball just over the bar from George’s free kick.
We’d managed to get a draw, which was a good result as Avon Packet had finished 4th in the Premier this season. This result meant Avon didn’t get to play in the final.
Game ended up 0-0
